Provillus ingredients clinical studies revealed

To finally unveil the myths surrounding much-talked-of hair loss remedy, known in media as Provillus, I decided to conduct my own investigation. I started from the clinical research of the ingredients contained in the "Provillus for men".

Saw Palmetto or Serenoa Repens fruit
The DHT or Dihydrotestosterone is a male sex hormone that is an active form of testosterone, formed from testosterone in bodily tissue. Testosterone metabolism occurs in primary cultures of human prostate epithelial cells. Excessive DHT metabolite of testosterone is known to cause excess hair loss in men. Clinical research shows that Saw Palmetto inhibits (deters, holds back) the formation of the Testostrone metabolites in men's body.

Stinging Nettle or Urtica Dioica

The clinical studies show that Stinging Nettle extract inhibits (deters) enzymes as 5 alpha reductase This enzyme is known to cause testosterone to convert to DHT (see above). It is primarily the DHT metabolite of testosterone that is known to cause excess hair loss at the top of the head.
Another independent clinical research indicates that the extract of nettle root partially blocked the action of two enzymes involved in the body's production of dihydrotestosterone and estrogen. The laboratory study showed that nettle root extract was effective in inhibiting these two enzymes such as 5alpha-reductase and aromatase.
Dr. A Vogel, a Swiss herbalist who is known throughout the world and Dr. Rudolf Fritz Weiss, M.D., the dean of German herbal physicians and the author of Herbal Medicine, both recommend the Stinging Nettle for stimulating hair growth in men.

Pumpkin Cucurbita Maxima seeds
Pumpkin seeds, seed oil, and pumpkin pulp have been evaluated in limited clinical trials for medicinal actions for managing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and anxiety-related disorders. Cucurbita Pumpkin from another most recent Chineese study may rejuvenate beta cells and restore insulin production. If the research by scientists from the East China Normal University can be reproduced in humans, then consuming cucurbita pumpkin extract may promote regeneration of damaged pancreatic cells, boost levels of insulin-producing beta cells and raise insulin levels in the blood. But how all this pertains to men's hair loss problem. Earlier we discussed the DHT metabolite produced by men's prostate. So, in simple terms, the pumpkin seeds may have an indirect influence on production of DHT shown the the research.

Eleuthero Root (Eleutherococcus Senticosus) also known as Siberian Ginseng
Preliminary evidence from common studies suggests that eleuthero can be effective in the long-term management of various diseases of the human immune system, including HIV infection and chronic fatigue syndrome. Healthy people taking Eleuthero Root have been shown to have increased numbers of the immune cells, known as T4 lymphocytes, that have been found to decrease during HIV-infection and AIDS. Further human clinical trials are needed to confirm that eleuthero may be helpful for this disease. Eleutherococcus Senticosus has not yet been subject to clinical studies as a hair loss treatment, and there is no scientific literature to back its use for that purpose, however its purported ability to maintain hormone balance and increase energy is widely been mentioned.

Uva-Ursi (Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi root)
The Arctostaphylos uva ursi is a small woody shrub with leaves that are evergreen. Uva-ursi is similar to Eleuthero root in that it has possible anti-inflammatory actions. It may be more suited to inflammatory alopecia rather than androgenetic alopecia or pattern baldness. Uva-Ursi has been used to strengthen, soothe, and tighten irritated and inflamed tissues. The clinical studies show that it mainly works by neutralizing the acidity in urine and increasing urine flow to lessen water retention and bloating. Although no facts have yet been reported about its ability to combat genetic hair loss, some scientists suggest that reducing bloating will allow hair to expand normally.

Muira Puama P (Ptuchopetalum Olacoides)
Muira puama, called a potency wood, is a small tree that grows to 5 meters high and is native to the Brazilian Amazon and other parts of the Amazon rainforest. Clinical studies discovered the following main uses of Ptuchopetalum Olacoides as: for erectile dysfunction and impotency, as a male aphrodisiac and libido promoter, as a tonic for males, a remedy for hair loss and balding and as a central nervous system tonic and antidepressant. Properties and Actions Documented by Research also include as anti-oxidant, adaptogen, analgesic (pain-reliever),  antiulcerous,  central nervous system tonic (tones, balances, strengthens), anti-fatigue, hypotensive (lowers blood pressure), memory-enhancer, nervine (balances/calms nerves), neurasthenic (reduces nerve pain), aphrodisiac, neuroprotective (protects brain cells). It is quite often mentioned as being effective in hair loss treatment.

Biotin or Vitamin H
Vitamin H, also known as biotin, is one of the B complex group of vitamins. B vitamins mainly help the body to convert carbohydrates contained in food into glucose or human body fuel, which is used to produce energy. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy skin, good hair, eyes, and liver. Biotin, combined with zinc and topical clobetasol propionate, has also been used to combat alopecia areata in both children and adults. Used in the Provillus formula, I suppose, it may enhance the effect of other ingredients.

Another factor which often fails to take into account is a recently discovered phenomenon called synergism or synergy: the working together of two things (muscles or drugs for example) to produce an effect greater than the sum of their individual effects. If the combination of ingredients is wise it can enhance the overall positive effect hundredfold.

Minoxidil for the past several years, remains the only medication recommended by doctors around the world as an effective means to restore hair growth. Celebrating the opening of Minoxidil belongs to the American doctor Alfred Kligmanu who in 1982 discovered the stimulating effect of this substance on hair growth.

Thinning hair women. New Approach to hair loss

More than half of trichologists (doctors for treatment of hair) patients come with the problem of thinning hair, hair loss and volume loss. In fact, their hair may fall out, decrease in diameter or grow slowly. In the first place, it is important to find the cause of the problem. Many women, especially those of childbearing age suffer from anemia and especially lack of iron and zinc. You may ask your doctor for appropriate nutritional supplements, if needed.
Secondly, make changes in your diet, including protein, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins.
Third, it may be the hidden hormonal imbalance as a source of this problem . It is pretty clear that an ovarian cyst can lead to hair loss, and sometimes it is the only sign of this disease. ... It is estimated that it affects at least 30% of young women. If you find that this is the case, do not worry, the disease is easily treated with pills that reduce the level of androgen in the body.

Hair thinning in Women

Thirty percent of women notice a dilution and thinning of hair at about the age of fifty. And 50 percent of men will notice this change even before 30. In men, hair loss is more intense and concentrated in specific locations (on the crown, at the temples), and in women it occurs evenly throughout the scalp. Alopecia, which is characteristic of men, due to the activity of testosterone (male hormone, which is also present in women), but the same hormones are the cause of thinning hair in women. Many women suffer from hair loss due to the fact that use hormone replacement therapy. Meanwhile, the contraceptives can affect the hair in two ways: they can drop out or, conversely, begin to grow strongly over the whole body. Women with irregular menstrual cycles often suffer from thinning hair.

Sudden hair loss in some places which is known as alopecia areata often is driven by the autoimmune reaction (where the immune system reacts against itself). Some professionals believe that this is exacerbated because of the stress in combination with genetic susceptibility to alopecia areata. If you have one or two spots of baldness on your head, they typically regrow the hair in about 6-9 months.

What can you do?

Fortunately for women with the hereditary hair loss it is much easier to treat than the male pattern baldness. Having a qualified professional advice, and following a good treatment regimen, virtually all women with genetic hair loss can expect a 30-40 percent recovery. Treatment in these cases is the usual combination hormone therapy (oral or local) and local drug therapy with nutritional supplements. To determine the necessary amount of vitamins and minerals needed a blood test. Treatment should be supervised by a physician. Visit a gynecologist, endocrinologist and a dermatologist, who specializes in treating hair.

Alternative treatment for hair loss. Provillus

For some people having problems with hair it is recommended not to wash your hair at all. However, you need to take care of them, and hence comb and rinse daily. The first 4-6 weeks of the form will be disastrous, but then can improve. Your hair has its own natural balance that is disturbed by shampoos and conditioners, but eventually everything will settle down and the hair literally will clean themselves. This method is suitable for people with thick hair, but if the hair is sparse, then they will need a Provillus hair loss treatment that will facilitate the recovering process considerably. Difficulties may arise in those women who love to make styling. Nevertheless, there exit some extraordinary results for men with thinning hair who resorted to this method.

My hair loss story or the Truth of Provillus!

hair loss
At the age of 33 I suddenly noticed a very unpleasant thing when waking up one morning. When I looked in the mirror I noticed that my hair line started to look like somewhat receding.

At first I didn't pay much attention to it, but every time when I looked at the mirror my hair seemed like pushed to one side opening a wide spot at the top left on my forehead. An glooming idea of a terrifying Pattern Baldness and hair thinning in women suddenly came up on my mind. Gradually, it started to bother me more and more.

Since I practice yoga 3 times a week for more than 2 years, I started to spend more time in "reversed" asanas, in other words I increased time on headstand up to 10 minutes. I started taking supplements and minerals.
In about half a year I noticed my receding hair line seemed to come to a halt.

But all in all, this turned into a kind of obsession for me. I noticed, I paid attention to other people hair lines, how they looked in profile. I started looking into mirror more often than before.

I was wondering if this thing happened because of my way of life, too much pressure at work and heavy stress I experienced recently. Or was it just because of genes? After recalling all my family tree, I came into conclusion the only bold man was my mothers brother, my uncle David, who became bold at the age of about 36.

I googled the Internet and found a few articles about hair follicles, and regrowing cycles and kind of growth gyrations which take from 3 to 6 months. It calmed me a little, since I thought my receding hairline was because of too much stress and it should be over very soon. But after another half a year had passed I didn't notice any improvement.

This time I took it more seriously and started looking for some kind of natural hair loss cure. I didn't think of resorting to some hard prescription medicines like Propecia or Proscar before I tried out all the natural resources.

My attention was caught by an exotic remedy called Provillus (learn more). I've making a thorough research, first reading all the official testing, than looking through all the negative comments, in all wikis in particular, I came to my own conclusion. Since I pretty quickly can recognize an optimist from a complete pessimist, I decided that most of the wikis were just slam-dunk against any new or alternative methods of regrowing hair, thought there were some beef in their statements, at least they could warn you of any outright scammers.

Since my overall experience of taking natural supplements was positive and I have a strong belief everybody should take some of them periodically. I also have a clear idea, that supplements have a some what deferred effect and one should take them at least for a year to get sustainable results.

So I ordered a 12 month supply and got 2 free packages, so my overall supply exceeded a year.
The package was shipped pretty quickly and intact in a nice wrapping right to my door in LA. I read all the instructions and started taking it on a regular basis having a strong intention I would finally discover the Provillus truth. My attitude was more of a neutral with a shade of curiosity.

But after about 3 months of taking Provillus I noticed my bald spots filling in and my hair starting to grow again for about 1/5 of an inch on each side of my forehead. That inspired me and I continue taking according to instructions.
After about another two and a half months my hair line restored to another 2/5 inch and almost looked normal.

I new I should take provillus for the whole year to fully restore my hair line and make the effect more lasting.

Now, after more than one and a half year later, my hair looks almost like before and I ordered another 6 months supply to sustain the effect.

As a preventive measure I also took meditation lessons to calm down my nervous system.
My life seems to get back to normal now.
